LollyMap Lost & Found: One Unified Platform for Lost and Found Animals
Every day, thousands of animals are reported lost or found, often scattered across social networks,
local websites, posters, and fragmented platforms. This fragmentation dramatically reduces the
chances of quickly reuniting animals with their owners.
LollyMap Lost & Found, developed by Lolli Group, was created to solve
this problem by offering a single, unified digital point where owners can report lost animals
and citizens, veterinarians, shelters, or volunteers can report found animals — all in one system.
A Proven POI System Born in Switzerland
The entire platform is based on the POI (Point of Interest) concept that made
LollyMap.com famous.
LollyMap was originally launched in 2008 in Switzerland by Lolli Group as an innovative audio-guide
and geolocation platform, allowing users to explore cities, museums, and territories through
interactive POIs.
That same robust and scalable POI architecture has now been adapted to serve a new and critical
purpose: Lost & Found animals.
Each lost or found animal becomes a geolocated POI, visible on the map and immediately accessible
to the community.
From Lost or Found Reports to Instant POIs
LollyMap Lost & Found introduces a streamlined workflow:
- Owners submit a Lost Animal report through a dedicated form.
- Citizens or professionals submit a Found Animal report.
- Each submission instantly generates a POI on the map.
- The POI contains structured data, images, location, and timestamps.
This approach eliminates delays, intermediaries, and duplication, ensuring that information is
immediately available where it matters most: on the map.
FileMaker Backend with Data API Integration
At the core of the system lies a powerful and secure FileMaker backend, fully managed
by Lolli Group.
All POIs, Lost & Found submissions, and system logic are handled through a dedicated
FileMaker interface designed for high-volume, real-time operations.
The platform leverages the FileMaker Data API to:
- Create and update POI records in real time.
- Validate and structure incoming data from web forms.
- Ensure consistent and secure communication between frontend and backend.
- Support future integrations with third-party services and mobile apps.
Lost and Found forms do not rely on manual processing: each submission becomes a structured,
immediately usable record within the system.
Advanced Security and Performance
Security is a core pillar of the LollyMap Lost & Found architecture.
FileMaker is widely recognized for its enterprise-grade security model, including:
- Role-based access control.
- Encrypted data transport via HTTPS and TLS.
- Strict API authentication and session management.
- Centralized auditing and logging.
To maximize performance, the entire infrastructure runs on
new dedicated servers operated by Lolli Group.
These servers are optimized for low latency, high availability, and fast API responses,
allowing the platform to scale smoothly as adoption grows.
Frontend in Final Development Stage
The frontend of LollyMap Lost & Found is currently under construction,
with the final release approaching soon.
The user interface has been specifically adapted from the classic LollyMap experience to give
maximum visibility to animal-related POIs, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and ease of use.
While the frontend is being finalized, the entire FileMaker backend is already in advanced
testing phase, validating workflows, security, performance, and data consistency.
A Global Reference Point for Animal Recovery
LollyMap Lost & Found aims to become a global reference platform for animal recovery,
unifying communities, professionals, and owners into a single, efficient ecosystem.
By combining a proven POI-based mapping system, a secure FileMaker backend, and high-performance
infrastructure, Lolli Group is delivering a modern, scalable, and reliable solution to one of the
most emotionally important problems for animal owners worldwide.
